Oxygen concentrator purity alarms are essential in all oxygen concentrators. Compass Controls Oxygen Monitor is an electronic/acoustic component that continuously monitors oxygen concentrator output without consuming or venting any of the oxygen, and delivers a wide selection of audio-visual alarms in case of failure. Rather than being simply an oxygen sensor adapted to the job, the Oxygen Monitor is specifically designed for use in oxygen concentrators. It is available in production quantities and is compact, accurate, rugged, stable and dependable.
The principle of operation utilizes sound through a gas. The speed of sound varies with the nature of the gas and with its temperature. The unit measures gas composition by ultrasound transit time and corrects for its temperature. The principle works best in a two-gas mixture, such as oxygen and nitrogen. If a third gas, such as argon, is present but predictable, the signal output is still reliable. This principle is ideal for oxygen concentrators.
The Oxygen Sensor is warranted to be free of defects in materials and construction for a period of one year from date of shipment from the factory. Compass Controls Manufacturing reserves the right to determine the cause of failure.
